How to Install USB Driver for Android Device on Windows Computer

Step 1. Connect your Android device to your computer via the USB cable.

For Windows 10/8.1 users: Press Windows + X, and select Device Manager. And you can also use the search bar on Windows computer to input Device Manager to open it.

For Windows 7 users: Right-click on Computer or Windows Explorer and select Manage. After that, select Devices in the left list.

Step 2. In the Device Manager, locate and expand Portable Devices or Other Devices.

Step 3. Right-click the name of the Android device you have connected. Then select Update Driver Software. Select Browse my computer for driver software and click Next.

Step 4. Click Browse and locate the USB driver that you downloaded in step 1. Click Next to start installing the USB driver manually.
